I’m almost finished with the first chapter and this is exactly what I need! It has you have your anthropomorphized inner critic(s) and inner heroes (positive brave voices or strengths inside you) engage with each other, as opposed to putting your art aside.
I watch my grandson or granchildren much of the time. This allows my grown children to go out with their mates on occasion, go to work, go to college, and work on their home. I am the go to person in an era in which times are harder and the safety net’s withered away to nohingness here in Wisconsin, USA.
Watch economist professor Larry Smith’s funny TED talk, “Why you will fail to have a great career.” I don’t want the reason that I don’t make art to be, “You were born.” That I have at least one toddler here from before sunrise to late evening isn’t a reason, it’s an excuse.
So, my toddler grandson and I are in the studio and he’s at the easel while I’m at the tilted table. The room was set up so that he has access to non-toxic kiddie art supplies but not the artist grade materials. The music is flowing as I paint my first exercise in the workbook …
